Operational Technology Technical Lead


We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to ensure operational technology (OT) is governed consistently in supporting the availability, performance, and security requirements of J.D. Irving, Limited businesses. This role will be part of the IT Operations team and report to the Senior Director of IT Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the subject matter expert in OT through keeping current on key industry trends in Operational Technology (OT) and critical infrastructure cybersecurity.
  2. Develop an overarching strategy to protect Operational Technology (OT) environments from unplanned downtime.
  3. Drive the development and delivery of an Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity program.
  4. Ensure plants can recover in a timely fashion from a cyber-attack or system failure.
  5. Develop and support a high-performing Operational Technology (OT) technical advisory and support team.
  6. Chair communities to align, educate, and share best practices and standards across companies.
  7. Mentor and provide oversight, coaching, and training to technical support staff in the OT space.
  8. Support the specialists to manage, monitor, and tune overall service performance, stability, and security.
  9. Monitor service performance and complete root cause and action plans for deviations.

Requirements:

  1. You have a post-secondary degree/diploma in a technology-related field.
  2. You have demonstrated experience working with operational technology.
  3. You have the capability to build a strategy and work with others to ensure implementation plans meet expectations.
