Job Title: Early Childhood Educator - Child Development Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ccaa Infant and Toddler Child Care Centre. As a Child Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Child Abuse Registry check.
  • Medical exam.

Work Environment: Our centre is located in an urban area, and public transportation is available.

Physical Demands: The job requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Personal Suitability: We are looking for an individual with efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, reliability, and a team player attitude.
