About the Opportunity

The City of Airdrie is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Aquatics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the safety of patrons, and maintaining a clean and well-maintained aquatic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor pool operations and ensure compliance with provincial legislation, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure the safety of patrons through education and rule enforcement.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the pool area and change rooms.
  • Assist with the coordination of aquatic programs and events.
  • Work collaboratively with the Aquatics team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of age (18 years of age for Aquatic Shift Leader)
  • Current certifications in Lifesaving Society Swim and Lifesaving Instructor, Intermediate First Aid, CPR-C & AED, and National Lifeguard Award (Aquatic Shift Leader only)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, diverse team environment
  • Ability to work different shifts, including daytime, early morning, evening, and weekend shifts
