Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Inside Sales Representative to join our team at Gordon Food Service. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting sales representatives, and driving account growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs and internal reporting requirements.
  • Participate in sales meetings, promotions, and facilitate food show registration.
  • Take orders from customers via phone or email.
  • Stay up-to-date with product offerings, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills in unique or difficult situations.
  • Provide support to sales representatives during special events and seasonally based on needs.
  • Assist with routing changes, customer complaints, and problem resolution.
  • Work with sales reps and visit customers on the road.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, sales, or Marketing preferred.
  • One year of previous sales, business, or food service experience with an interest in food business practices and food preparation or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform 10-key data entry and use SAP, CRM, and other systems.
  • Highly organized with a great attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
