Job Title: Construction Manager

Tidal Coast Construction Limited is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee the planning, organization, and execution of construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure a skilled and efficient workforce.
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to manage projects and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings to ensure accurate construction.
  • Plan and manage budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring financial compliance.
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information to inform project decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and results to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Strong background in construction management, including planning, organization, and execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, staff, and volunteers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CADD and other computer software systems, including MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Project.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to track expenses and ensure financial compliance.
  • Ability to direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Strong quality control skills, with the ability to establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control.
