About the Role

Axiom Industrial Solutions Inc. is a leading industrial contractor seeking motivated and skilled 2nd, 3rd, 4th year apprentices and Journeyman Millwrights for immediate full-time employment.

Job Overview

A Millwright's primary duty involves handling industrial machinery to ensure correct installation, repair, and upkeep. This role entails visiting customer sites and representing the company with dignity and professionalism to maintain its brand image.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • New equipment installations and commissioning
  • Follow safe work practices and health and safety policies
  • In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
  • Perform routine maintenance work on all machinery
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine irregularities and breakdowns
  • Repair or replace defective machine parts and equipment
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
  • Install, align, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to plan layouts
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Work on team-oriented, high-paced projects at various customer sites
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Construction experience would be an asset
  • A self-starter and a proven team player
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
  • Welding & fabrication experience will be an asset (GTAW, SMAW)
  • Flexible schedule/weekends as required
  • Ability to travel to different job sites across South Western Ontario
  • Willingsness to travel across Canada on a voluntary basis is an asset
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and own vehicle
