About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Director to join our team at AGF Investments. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for leading the Information Delivery and Performance Reporting team, ensuring the timely delivery of various reports to our internal and external stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement reporting solutions to meet the needs of various stakeholders, including Investment Management, Client Services, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Legal & Compliance.
  2. Act as a liaison between report requestors and data source providers, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate reporting.
  3. Manage the Information Delivery & Performance Reporting team, providing oversight and guidance to ensure efficient and effective reporting processes.
  4. Deliver high-quality performance, risk, and attribution reporting to support business decision-making.
  5. Assess and implement new reporting tools and technologies to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Represent the reporting team on projects, ensuring that reporting requirements are met and that existing reports are not impacted.
  7. Lead operational initiatives to improve reporting processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and modernization.
  8. Collaborate with the AGF IT group to develop and implement new technologies and strategies to support reporting needs.
  9. Manage multiple priorities, ensuring timely delivery of reports and effective communication with stakeholders.
  10. Perform quality assurance testing on reporting upgrades, enhancements, and patches to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  11. Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, internal partners, and external stakeholders.

Your Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of technical/business experience in the investment management industry.
  2. Experience working with investment systems, such as trade order management, portfolio management, and investment accounting systems.
  3. Strong understanding of data across asset classes and security types (equity, fixed income, credit, FX, derivatives).
  4. Advanced skills in SQL, relational databases, visualization tools, and reporting software, preferably with Power BI or Tableau.
  5. Excellent communication and people management skills.
  6. University degree required; CFA or CAIA certification preferred.
