Activation Aide, Certified Professional

The Community Engagement Coordinator, Recreation and Leisure, plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of residents at Fieldstone Commons Community.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating and planning activities, programs, and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of residents.
Facilitating programs, including small and large groups, and special events that promote socialization, engagement, and well-being.
Conducting resident assessments and developing personalized plans to address their needs and concerns.
Maintaining accurate documentation, including assessment, attendance, progress notes, care plans, and quarterly reviews.
Collaborating with other therapy programs, such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy, to provide a comprehensive range of services.
Performing other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and goals of Fieldstone Commons Community.
Requirements:
A post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field.
Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
A valid Food Handlers Certificate.
Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation is required.
As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.
Bonus points for having:
Competency in Point Click Care, MS Office is an asset.
