Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team at Second Family Care. As a PSW, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

About the Role:

As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, incontinence care, dressing, and grooming. You will also provide companionship, social, and emotional support, as well as assist with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) such as laundry, light housekeeping, and meal preparation.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with ADLs, including personal hygiene, incontinence care, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship, social, and emotional support
  • Assist with IADLs, including laundry, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
  • Observe and report changes in client conditions
  • Accompany clients on errands and to appointments
  • Work with healthcare teams to follow client care plans and goals
Requirements:
  • PSW certificate meeting technical and practical standards
  • Clear enhanced police record check
  • Able to acquire a valid CPR/BLS certificate
  • Able to complete WHMIS training
  • Reliable transportation
  • Enjoy working with a team and independently with clients
  • Caring and respectful manner with clients and coworkers
