We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Produce Utility Clerk to join our team at Calgary Co-op. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of produce is presented to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive customer experience through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
- Perform all aspects of the produce utility clerk function, including culling, stocking, displays, and facing, to ensure a visually appealing and well-organized produce department.
- Handle merchandise with care, minimizing damages and markdowns, and ensuring price integrity through accurate pricing and labeling.
- Perform general clean-up duties, including cleaning spills and display fixtures, to maintain a clean and organized sales floor and back stock area.
- Grade 9 or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Related retail experience, including the provision of customer service.
- Fluency in English (CLBA - Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score of 5 or higher).
- Receiving, counter set-up, and product knowledge/experience.
- Knowledge of ordering merchandise and supplies, and related procedures.
