We are seeking a skilled Produce Utility Clerk to join our team at Calgary Co-op. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring the highest quality produce is available to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the produce department and surrounding areas.
- Ensure the highest quality produce is available to customers by performing tasks such as culling, stocking, and displaying produce.
- Handle merchandise with care, minimizing damages and markdowns, and provide substitutions as needed.
- Perform general clean-up duties, including cleaning spills and display fixtures, and ensuring the sales floor and back stock area are clean and organized.
- Grade 9 or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Related retail experience, including the provision of customer service.
- Must be fluent in English (CLBA - Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score of 5 or higher).
- Receiving, counter set-up, and product knowledge/experience.
- Knowledge of ordering merchandise and supplies, and related procedures.
