Our Partnership with Outset

We are now seeking a skilled Business Advisor to deliver tailored support to individuals and businesses in Cornwall, specifically third sector organizations including social enterprises, community interest companies, voluntary, and charitable organizations, under our Outset brand.

This partnership is part of a joint initiative with the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth Hub and Cornwall Council's Good Growth Programme, aimed at empowering individuals to sustain or grow their businesses.

Your Role as a Business Advisor

As a Business Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in their entrepreneurial ventures. Your expertise in business development, third sector operations, and effective communication will be invaluable in this capacity.

You will engage with groups and individuals, conveying complex information through a range of sessions, workshops, and one-to-one consultations delivered both online and face-to-face. Your ability to tailor your approach to diverse client needs will be essential in achieving success.

Key Requirements

To excel in this position, you must possess strong business acumen, combined with a deep understanding of the third sector landscape. Proven experience in engaging audiences, communicating complex ideas, and delivering high-quality training sessions is also vital.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, enabling them to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. A keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and adaptability will also be essential assets in this role.

What We Offer

Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £39,000, depending on skills and experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. You will join a dynamic team dedicated to making a positive impact in Cornwall's communities.
