Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor Lead to join our team at McNie's Fish & Chips. This is a dynamic role that requires exceptional leadership and organizational skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising staff, coordinating activities, and maintaining high-quality standards in food preparation and customer service.

A key aspect of this role is training and developing our team members to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with our staff to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including meal preparation and presentation.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This role requires standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining high energy levels throughout the shift.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth and development.
