Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their natural supports.
- Provide individual, group, and family support using a variety of interviewing, supportive counseling, and assessment methods.
- Assess client needs by gathering information via phone interviews or other methods, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to determine the best approach to care.
- Facilitate client utilization of appropriate community services and rehabilitative programs, and provide referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Advocate on behalf of clients, and provide education to staff, clients, and their families regarding the impact of illness and functional capabilities.
- Maintain client records, and participate in quality improvement and risk management activities for assigned area.
- Participate in ongoing education to maintain current and relevant practice, and participate in clinical research and program evaluation activities as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or other relevant health-related discipline.
- Two years' recent, related experience working with clients and families with, or affected by, mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Eligibility for registration or membership with applicable professional association or regulatory body.
- A valid Class V BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
