Job Title: Senior Surveyor

About the Role:

DOF Subsea is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Surveyor to join our team. As a Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the survey operations, ensuring the accuracy and quality of data, and collaborating with offshore and onshore personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the checking and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project mobilization.
  • Coordinate the mobilization of survey equipment and software on vessels.
  • Ensure the flow of data from calibration to logging and quality control is accurate and efficient.
  • Develop project procedures and assist in project preparation.
  • Manage day-to-day field operations, ensuring the fulfillment of contractual requirements regarding recording, quality, and accuracy of field data.
  • Ensure all survey equipment is calibrated and relevant documentation is up-to-date.
  • Monitor real-time displays, examine calibration and data plots, and ensure data quality is consistent and of a proper standard.
  • Manage project work scope and adhere to contractual aspects of the project offshore.
  • Provide guidance and supervise the Offshore survey team.
  • Ensure all personnel meet company requirements for operational capability, competence, health, and safety.
  • Communicate daily with the Party Chief and liaise with client representatives and senior vessel/ROV crew.
  • Accountable for delegation of responsibility in accordance with company procedures.
  • Complete daily/end of project reporting.
  • Responsible for Offshore QHSE and implement and maintain survey standards throughout offshore operations.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Hydrographic Survey or Geomatics degree or similar education.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Surveyor, with key experience in acting Senior Surveyor or Senior Surveyor duties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Packages - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communicator, reader, and writer.
  • Leadership Communication.
