The Assistant Manager - Prepared Foods is a key member of our team at EightSix Network, responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of our prepared foods department. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating the work in the prepared foods department.
- Ensure the quality of products and services meets customer expectations by optimizing inventory levels, managing stockroom operations, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to manage purchasing, inventory, pricing, and merchandising activities in accordance with established standards.
- Receive and store merchandise in accordance with established standards.
- Prepare and cook food items as needed.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college diploma an asset.
- Minimum two years of experience in a retail environment or similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
