Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dispensary Pharmacist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret medication orders and prescriptions, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications.
  • Assess prescriptions for therapeutic suitability and ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members to resolve prescription-related issues.
  • Participate in medication use evaluation projects, quality control activities, and clinical drug trials.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and resolve drug therapy problems and achieve patient care outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current license of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
  • At least one year of related work in a hospital pharmacy, desirable.
