Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CFO Intern to join our team at Banque Nationale du Canada. As a key member of our specialized team, you will play a leading role in the strategic support of clients in the fields of pharmacy, medical, and dental clinics, as well as other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and propose financial strategies to achieve client business objectives, integrating wealth management and commercial aspects into case analysis.
  • Support account managers in setting up new financing cases and at all stages of follow-up and renewal.
  • Provide expertise in financing structure, financial analysis, and case evaluation, identifying financial risks for the Bank and making recommendations to reduce or eliminate them.
  • Act as a credit resource within the team, supporting the AVP in developing team members' skills in this area.
  • Participate in case preparation, including analysis and establishment of business financing structures, considering the wealth management aspect for healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with account managers in preliminary meetings and presenting financing outlines to clients, participating in negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in all stages of follow-up and renewal of existing credits, using credit risk and profitability assessment tools to ensure compliance with financing and risk management policies and standards.

Requirements:

  • Completed bachelor's degree related to the field and 7 years of relevant experience OR completed master's degree related to the field and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in complex commercial credit and knowledge of business products and services.
  • Experience in private management credit is an asset.
  • Knowledge of capital market borrowing instruments is an asset.
