About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspection & Investigation Specialist to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As an Inspection & Investigation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with provincial statutes and regulations related to agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and investigations to identify non-compliance with provincial statutes and regulations
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve compliance and enforcement goals
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
Requirements
- University degree in an investigation-related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement, including formal investigations and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and report writing
- Basic knowledge of agricultural practices and food safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
