About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspection & Investigation Specialist to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As an Inspection & Investigation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with provincial statutes and regulations related to agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify non-compliance with provincial statutes and regulations
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve compliance and enforcement goals
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders

Requirements

  • University degree in an investigation-related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement, including formal investigations and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and report writing
  • Basic knowledge of agricultural practices and food safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
