We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Emergency Housing program. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of workers to deliver high-quality programming and care for at-risk youth.
Key Responsibilities- Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day organization and operation of the Emergency Housing program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of workers to deliver sound and innovative programming and care for at-risk youth, promoting a culture of inclusion and community capacity building.
- Strategic Planning: Work with the Manager of Youth Hub to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve desired outcomes, aligning with the organization's mission and vision.
- Collaboration and Liaison: Liaise with Home Base and Food Services to coordinate programming and ensure the needs of youth in the Emergency Housing program are met.
- Crisis Management: Exercise judgment and initiative in managing crises or critical incidents, ensuring the well-being and safety of youth and staff.
- Staff Development: Provide direction to staff in terms of operations and programs, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
- Communication and Representation: Communicate the organization's mission, values, and policies to employees and stakeholders, representing the organization in a professional and positive manner.
- Financial Management: Monitor the program's finances and develop action plans to improve financial performance, working with the Manager of Youth Hub to secure funding and resources.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Provide regular reports and information to the Manager of Youth Hub, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a child/youth-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience working with youth.
- Experience: Minimum three years' experience working with at-risk or street-involved youth, with at least one year of supervisory or management experience.
- Skills: Leadership skills, including motivation, delegation, coaching/mentoring, and empowerment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
