Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic policy initiatives to support the overall mission and objectives of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario.
  • Lead the development of policy frameworks, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency and effectiveness in regulating financial sectors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address emerging issues and trends affecting consumers and financial services sectors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote public awareness and education on financial services regulation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure effective policy development and implementation.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative and regulatory changes and ensure that policies and procedures are aligned with these changes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in finance, law, economics, public policy, or a related field.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in strategic planning, policy development, and regulatory affairs.
  • Proven track record of leading successful policy initiatives and collaborations with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
