Company Overview:
The City of Saint John is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the General Counsel office. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Job Summary:
This role entails providing administrative support to all members of the General Counsel office, which includes contract management and real estate divisions as well as lawyers. The EA will assist with various tasks such as clerical responsibilities, record management, payment of invoices, purchasing of office supplies, and general management of the administrative side of the office.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the General Counsel office
- Assist with clerical responsibilities such as payroll hours entry, filing system maintenance, record management, payment of invoices, and purchasing of office supplies
- Support contract management and real estate efforts
- Assist with budget process, calendar maintenance, and scheduling meetings
- Maintain absolute discretion with respect to confidential information
Requirements:
- 2-year diploma in Business, Paralegal or related education
- Minimum of five years related experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of office software packages (including advanced Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Intermediate level of French language proficiency
What We Offer:
A competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, a compressed work week of 4 days (Monday to Thursday), and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
