Electronics Design Engineer

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Electronics/Electrical Design Engineer to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience and be registered (or eligible to be registered) as a full-fledged engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Design, develop, and validate printed circuit boards (PCBs and PCAs) for industrial applications.
- Electrical Design: Electrical design of printed circuit board integration into products (wiring diagrams).
- BOM Management: BOM management and selection of electronic and electrical components.
- Production and Quality Control: Monitor production/manufacturing and quality control of printed circuit boards.
- Problem-Solving: Identify the causes of failures and make the necessary improvements and corrections.
- Documentation: Document processes and write technical reports.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams (mechanical and software design, production, sales, commissioning, etc.) to ensure optimal integration of electronic components into overall systems and processes.
- Standards and Methods: Establish electronic design standards and methods (creation and maintenance of libraries, procedures, standardization of component types, management of manufacturing subcontracting).
- Product Vision: Take charge of product vision and evolution, understand customer industries and needs, participate in the decision-making process on new functionalities and product improvements.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in electronic or electrical engineering or equivalent, registered engineer (or eligible to be registered) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, and three (3) years' experience.
- Skills and Knowledge: Relevant experience in printed circuit board (PCB) and printed circuit assembly (PCA) design, knowledge of electronic and electrical design software (Fusion, Autocad Electrical, or equivalent), ability to work in a team and solve complex technical problems, knowledge of embedded microcontroller and FPGA programming or interest in developing skills in these areas, experience in designing electronic systems for industrial applications, and knowledge of manufacturing processes from design to production.
