Mechanical Engineer/Designer, Interiors Development Center

As a Mechanical Design Specialist, you'll be part of our Interiors Development Site team, responsible for developing and engineering interior components and sub-assemblies that meet our Centre of Excellence's quality, cost, and time commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define concepts and perform designs for interior components and sub-assemblies, considering factors like weight, acoustics, and performance requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality designs that meet cost targets and deadlines, leveraging digital mock-ups and tools like Catia V5 and DMA.
  • Deploy project development procedures, utilizing catalogue and standard solutions from the CDS Interiors.
  • Optimize part designs to reach recurring and non-recurring costs targets, ensuring committed planning.
  • Responsible for respecting interiors parts engineering planning on your scope.
  • Leverage external engineering sub-contractors and/or internal CAD engineers to assist and support activities.
  • Ensure deliverable quality and acceptance by internal customers.
  • Ensure configuration management of your scope.
  • Prepare design review elements.
  • Include tolerance analysis and stack-up through design evolutions.
  • Support Quality team during suppliers review on your scope.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Mechanical Professional Engineer degree or College degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in design of mechanical parts, preferably in railway, automotive, and bus industries.
  • Excellent skills and proficiency in CATIA V5 and use of Excel & other MS Office.
  • Work experience with Suppliers in similar domain is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Fluent in French and English.
