We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare in the Barrie area. As an RPN, you will provide exceptional nursing care to residents in long-term and acute care facilities.

Job Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced RPNs to work with a variety of facilities, offering above-average wages with travel compensation and accommodation.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, ensuring resident satisfaction, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Nursing Care Delivery: Provide nursing care according to established policies, physician orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Care Coordination: Ensure timely admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe transfers and discharges.
  • Medication Management: Safely manage medications and narcotics, adhering to protocols on assigned shifts.
  • Clinical Decision Making: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Infection Control: Ability to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • Certifications: BLS Certificate, Valid First Aid & CPR, Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Proof of current immunizations (MMRV), Negative TB skin test within one year, Hepatitis B.
  • Communication Skills: Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shift times (8-12 hours), float between units, and adhere to RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
Compensation and Benefits
