About the Role

As an Associate R&D Engineer Manager at Boston Scientific, you will lead a team of skilled R&D Engineers responsible for designing and developing next-generation steerable sheaths for Access Solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding direct reports through training, challenging tasks, and performance reviews to ensure their growth and success.
  • Providing technical expertise to identify complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of design, risk, and other relevant phase deliverables align with the BSC Quality Management System.
  • Developing creative solutions to complex engineering problems and collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Leading by example and motivating technical team members to excel in a high-performing environment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience in new product development for single-use medical devices.
  • Experience as a Mentor and/or Coach.
  • A strong understanding of design control processes per ISO 13485, 14971, and IEC 62366.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 10-15%.
