Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team at Pioneer Place Family Practice and Walk-in Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and Document Patient Information: Gather and record accurate and detailed information about patients' medical histories, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Conduct Physical Examinations: Perform thorough physical examinations to identify diseases and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Order Diagnostic Tests: Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
- Consult with Other Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health.
- Prescribe and Administer Medications: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed, and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
- Provide Patient Education: Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Manage Acute Care: Provide acute care management, including emergency response and stabilization of patients.
- Provide Counselling and Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
- Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Certifications: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 36 to 40 hours per week.
