Job Overview

At Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing, we're seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team in the beautiful Blue River, BC. As a key member of our hospitality team, you'll provide exceptional service and create memorable experiences for our guests.

About the Role

This is a demanding position that requires strong organizational skills, a passion for excellent customer service, and a flair for mixology. You'll be responsible for managing the bar, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Preparing and pouring beverages
  • Assisting in creating unique beverage options for guests
  • FOLLOWING CURRENT TRENDS IN THE BEVERAGE INDUSTRY
  • Keeping track of guest names and preferences
  • Ensuring accurate charging for liquor sales
  • Handling cash and maintaining till accuracy
  • Preparation of consumption sheets and cash out
  • Accounting for stock and inventory control
  • Cleaning bar and storage spaces
  • Suggestions and up-selling of beverages
  • Other departmental duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications

We're looking for an individual with:

  • Food and Beverage experience (bartending experience preferred)
  • WSET Level 1 or equivalent wine knowledge would be an asset
  • Serving it Right certification (must be obtained within 30 days)
  • Food Safe certification
  • A strong working knowledge of hospitality industry practices and techniques
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of a second language (preferably German) would be an asset
