Service Delivery Excellence

PWTransit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Delivery Manager to join our team in the West Kootenay Region. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and reporting on all public transit service delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve transit system efficiencies and operational effectiveness
  • Direct and manage the activities of staff in relation to transit operations, including dispatching, vacation coverage, and routing
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations
  • Lead investigations of collisions and provide accurate reporting and follow-up actions to prevent further incidents
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs and activities to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with BC Transit partners to achieve shared goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • College education or substantial industry experience in road transportation operations, municipal works, or emergency services in a management or supervisory role
  • Several years of public transit industry experience, with experience supervising transit operations staff preferred
  • Class 2 driver's license or higher with air brake endorsement an asset
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a positive, team-building attitude
  • Computer savvy with an ability to grasp new programs and applications
