Mortgage Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a Mortgage Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership by providing expert guidance and support throughout the mortgage application process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and build relationships with a referral network to generate new mortgage business and increase BMO's share of the home financing market.
- Actively identify sales opportunities and refer to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
- Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
- Follow corporate policies, operating directives, legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
- Expert knowledge of self-management and teamwork, personal lending, relationship sales and management.
- Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, trust services, business and commercial lending, and cash management.
- Strong knowledge of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market.
