Mortgage Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mortgage Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a Mortgage Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership by providing expert advice and guidance throughout the mortgage application process.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate and build relationships with a referral network to generate new mortgage business and increase BMO's share of the home financing market.
- Actively identify sales opportunities and refer to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
- Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
- Follow corporate policies, operating directives, legal and regulatory requirements.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in mortgage lending and sales. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and referral partners.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in mortgage sales and will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications- Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
- Expert knowledge of self-management and teamwork, personal lending, relationship sales and management.
- Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, trust services, business and commercial lending, and cash management.
- Strong knowledge of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market.
