We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in the Cornwall area. As a key member of our long-term and acute care facilities, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure high-quality care and excellent customer service.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Manage the safekeeping of medications and narcotics.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.

Requirements:

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • BLS certificate.
  • Valid first aid and CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for MMRV and negative TB skin test within one year.
  • Current vulnerable sector police check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible shift schedule and ability to 'float' between units.
