Southbridge Care Homes: A Leader in Long-Term Care
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at Southbridge Cornwall, a state-of-the-art long-term care home in Cornwall, Ontario.
About the Role
The RPN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with the Director of Care and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess residents' needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing wound care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, including infection control and palliative care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with seniors and their families.
