Job Title: Avalanche Operations Specialist

This role is critical to our team, responsible for maintaining equipment, processing data, and participating in field checks and verification.

Job Description:

The Avalanche Operations Specialist will work outdoors, maintaining equipment and instruments, processing data to conduct basic analyses of trends, and participating in field checks and verification. They will also participate in programs to forecast and control avalanches in mountainous terrain, perform data entry, and verify accuracy and completeness of data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5 years or more of experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, organized, and a team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and physically demanding environment
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling
