Accounting Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Kaayu Technologies in Quebec City.

As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for managing client accounting files, preparing and submitting government remittances, and performing various financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit government remittances, including DAS, GST/QST, and CCQ;
  • Produce T-4/RL1, T-5/RL3 slips;
  • Perform bookkeeping, write general ledger entries, and conduct financial analyses;
  • Collaborate in the preparation of month-end and year-end reports;
  • Verify, code, and approve invoices;
  • Collaborate in setting up control systems;
  • Document existing and new processes;
  • Process government remittances;
  • Perform bank reconciliation and cash flow monitoring;
  • Prepare payroll and statements;
  • Operate Acomba and QuickBooks software.

Requirements:

  • College education (DEC) in accounting or a DEP in accounting with a minimum of 3 years of experience;
  • Excellent command of the Office suite;
  • Proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced);
  • Good analytical skills, rigor, attention to detail, and professionalism;
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
