Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an experienced Regulatory Capital Compliance Director to join our Enterprise Risk, Regulatory Capital Governance & Oversight team. This critical role plays a pivotal part in the efficient management and coordination of RBC's annual Self-Assessment Process (SAP). As a subject matter expert, you will provide valuable insights on OSFI's Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR) and other jurisdictions deemed in scope in the area of regulatory capital and reporting.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the scope of applicable requirements across RBC, providing review and effective challenge in coordinating compliance assessment reviews. Additionally, you will contribute to the effective challenge of self-assessments conducted for new model applications or modifications.

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on RBC's program supporting regulatory capital model compliance. You will participate in various projects aimed at enhancing our program, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and developing policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

About the Opportunity:

  • Assist in planning, setup, and execution of RBC's OSFI Self-Assessment Process (SAP)
  • Manage relationships with 1st & 2nd line partners and help business colleagues understand OSFI's Capital Adequacy Requirements
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise policies and procedures for maintaining the SAP process
  • Prepare presentations and materials for senior management and regulators

 

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of OSFI's Capital Adequacy Requirements
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Comfortable challenging the nature and quality of assessments provided by colleagues
  • Superior impact and influence skills with a proven track record of building strong relationships
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
