About the Role:

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a skilled Swim Instructor and Lifeguard to join our team. As a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard, you will play a vital role in supporting the hospital's vision of creating the most meaningful and healthy futures for all children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach water safety skills to children, youth, and adults with and without disabilities in a fully integrated setting.
  • Provide leadership and supervision for our non-instructional and recreational aquatics program.
  • Monitor instructional and recreational swimming activities, including patrolling the pool deck and scanning the water.
  • Carry out emergency rescues to the standard of your certifications and respond to patron inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience teaching swimming lessons (min. 1 year).
  • Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR Level C.
  • National Lifeguard certification.
