As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose issues using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.

Your duties will include adjusting equipment, repairing or replacing defective parts, and testing repaired equipment for proper performance. You will also be responsible for cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work.

In addition, you will perform repair work on heavy trucks, service attachments and working tools, and verify and repair emission control systems.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of heavy equipment maintenance and repair principles. You will also need to be physically demanding, with the ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.

**Requirements:**

* 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
* Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate
* Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
* Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T)
* Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
* Level three apprenticeship training
* Level four apprenticeship training
* Level five apprenticeship training

**Tasks:**

* Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
* Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
* Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
* Welding experience
* Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
* Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
* Perform repair work on heavy trucks
* Service attachments and working tools
* Verify and repair emission control systems

* Differentials
* Brake system
