About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment, including man lifts, forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, floor sweepers, excavators, and skid steers.
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors to complete annual inspections, including NDT Technicians, emissions testing, and wash bay attendants.
  • Respond to unscheduled mobile maintenance to repair or start disabled vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean work vehicle and work area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to company and work-site policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Must be a fully licensed Truck and Coach or Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic (310T or 421A license).
  • Must participate in drug and alcohol testing required to enter the work site.
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing various construction equipment.
  • Must be available to work on-call as needed.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
