Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Respiratory Therapist I to join our team. The successful candidate will assess patients, develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans, and monitor progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions, and will collaborate with clinical teams to enhance clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients and develop respiratory therapy care plans
  • Implement and monitor respiratory therapy interventions
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance clinical outcomes
  • Provide training and education to healthcare providers and patients

Requirements:

  • Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA)
  • Graduate from a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy
  • Eligible to write or have passed the National Respiratory Certification Exam
  • Maintain current active registration in good standing with CARTA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current acute care experience in a tertiary teaching hospital
  • Orientation to the position's major and minor clinical areas
  • Current charge therapist experience
  • Experience precepting students
