About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at Cedar Springs Landscape Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and integrity of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, ensuring high-quality results and attention to detail.
  • Perform weeding, pruning, and trimming tasks to maintain the health and appearance of trees and plants.
  • Cut grass and rake and collect refuse to keep our outdoor spaces clean and tidy.
  • Remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed, and plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance our outdoor spaces.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, ensuring they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control, ensuring safe and accessible pathways.
  • Plant and move trees, requiring physical effort and attention to detail.
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines. This role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent physical stamina, with the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
