Job Summary

HI-Beam Contractors Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall sheets in various locations, including commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
Work Environment

As a Drywall Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty and hot conditions, and outdoors. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty and hot conditions, and outdoors
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Client focus, dependability, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and team player skills
