Job Summary

Paradise Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and finish drywall sheets, including measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments.

Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Drywall Finisher Trade Certification.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • Forklift Operator Certification.
