About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our Global Health Benefits team in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for expanding our presence in the SME market, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with key brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Cigna and raise the profile of our business and solutions by attending industry events and conferences, such as BIBA, ABI, and AMII.
  • Develop and expand our UK broker market by canvassing Cigna UK broker relationships and establishing new broker relationships.
  • Liaise with key brokers to discuss, manage, and nurture SME pipeline opportunities, ensuring successful follow-through of the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to develop SME strategies for key Broker Partners and take ownership of all quotations, ensuring internal processes are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Assume responsibility for the end-to-end sales cycle of SME prospects and act as the subject matter expert on Global Medical product offerings and value proposition.
  • Collaborate with regional Sales Managers in internal and external meetings, pitch presentations, and other activities to drive successful sales outcomes.
  • Support regional marketing campaigns and events, working cross-functionally with the marketing team to raise awareness of our services.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to test sales messaging, refine the value proposition, and execute the company's go-to-market strategy.
  • Ensure successful follow-through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in Salesforce.
  • Facilitate regional pipeline review meetings with Sales Managers, collating all necessary data and reporting required to determine pipeline health and track sales performance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in a face-to-face B2B sales environment.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Hunger to meet and exceed targets.
  • Strong customer focus with ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Strong presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Experience in employee benefits, specifically PMI or IPMI, ideal but not essential.
