About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at N.W.T. Limited. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, as well as for special guests or functions, ensuring exceptional presentation and flavor.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet quality standards and cater to diverse customer needs, including those with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and arrange for equipment purchases and repairs to maintain a well-stocked and well-maintained kitchen.
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences for weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities across multiple restaurants, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results.
  • Supervise and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
