Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Design Specialist to join our team at Abacus Service Corporation. As a CAD Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and layouts for various projects, working closely with our design authority and customers to ensure accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze plans, specifications, and details for upcoming projects, focusing on roofing and waterproofing details.
  • Communicate effectively with the design authority and customers to clarify expansion joint configurations.
  • Prepare expansion joint layouts on AutoCAD for quoting purposes, based on reviewed layouts by the design authority or customer.
  • Create custom expansion joint details for non-standard conditions on a project-by-project basis.
  • Collaborate with other drafting technicians to coordinate workload and work on demanding projects as needed.
  • Maintain organized and timely deliverables for our sales and production departments.
  • Communicate deadlines and timelines clearly and consistently with our sales and quotations departments.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a minimum of years of experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss details at a technical level with customers and design authority.
  • Able to read architectural drawings/blueprints.
  • Reliable and keen eye to detail.
