We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team at Maple Contractors Ltd. as a Design Specialist.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and developing and preparing design sketches. They will also prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates, as well as prepare contracts and tenders. Additionally, they will write technical reports, write specifications, estimate costs and materials, complete documentation packages and drawing sets, and examine drawings for conformity and errors.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Develop and prepare design sketches
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates

Requirements:
  • AutoCAD Certification
  • Civil engineering technology (CVT)

  • A+ Certification

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods. They will also be required to work under pressure and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
