We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Driver to join our team at Kenroc Saskatoon. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in truck driving and a valid Class 1 or A driver's license. You will be responsible for:

  • Loading and unloading goods in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operating and maintaining a straight or articulated truck to transport goods and materials
  • Performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and condition
  • Calculating costs of repairs and new parts as needed
  • Addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner

You will also be responsible for overseeing the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, as well as performing brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and preventive maintenance. Additionally, you will record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Class 1 or A driver's license
  • Experience in long haul truck driving, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
