We are seeking a highly skilled EDI Data Transmission Specialist to join our team at TJX Canada. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient exchange of data between our systems and those of our third-party partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage data transmissions for TJX Canada's third-party systems, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of all EDI/API transmissions.
  • Execute daily checks and balances to ensure the completeness of data transmissions related to operational applications.
  • Create and maintain effective management processes to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of EDI transmissions.
  • Partner with 3PL and corporate IT to troubleshoot technical issues and take corrective action to resolve within identified SLAs.
  • Track and report on EDI data compliance based on agreed standards for the area of responsibility.
  • Research and identify opportunities to improve process efficiencies to maximize TJX Canada's investment in EDI technology and 3PL.

Requirements

  • Experience in EDI and data transmissions, including a basic understanding of EDI protocols and compliance standards.
  • Technical systems knowledge in the following areas:
    • Protocol Knowledge: Familiarity with communication protocols used for transmitting EDI files securely such as FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol).
    • Data Formats: Understanding of structured data formats like XML (Extensible Markup Language) and JSON (JavaScript Object Notation).
    • SQL Server: Proficiency in working with and querying databases to track transactions.
    • EDI Standards: Knowledge of EDI standards such as AS2 (Applicability Statement 2) and VAN (Value-Added Network).
    • Relational databases and tools: Proficiency in working with and querying databases to track transactions.
  • Strong logical reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including compiling large volumes of data into meaningful information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to track information in interconnected and diverse applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational and development skills, including change management, time management, and the ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, time manage, and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressure.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to read, write, communicate, and interpret information accurately, and to develop and build relationships with internal and external partners/team members.
