Market Researcher Job Description

Skyservice Business Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Market Researcher to join our team. As a key member of our Business Aviation team, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to aircraft valuation, buyer and seller behavior, market trends, and technical assessment of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analysis using various tools and programs on all aircraft segments.
  • Identify key trends and provide competitive intelligence on market dynamics relating to availability of aircraft on the market.
  • Identify key markets to drive potential sale volume and build out pipeline (sales forecasting).
  • Conduct and track market industry evaluations.
  • Utilize market analysis to identify specific aircraft to target/'cold call' for potential purchase or sale.
  • Develop data models and reporting tools to drive business insights through regular reporting and follow-up with the Sales team.
  • Proactively provide analytical and technical guidance to support sales efforts based on deep understanding of the business and changes in the business aviation market.
  • Act as primary technical representative for audits of aircrafts for potential purchase and/or sale; partner with Sales team as subject matter experts.
  • Manage projects pipeline to ensure agreed upon timelines are met.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing/Data Analysis, Business Administration or similar is required.
  • 2-3 years' experience in private or business aviation is required.
  • Understanding of private jet types is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to organize and interpret data and create visual results.
  • Highly resourceful, can work well autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point), and Tableau/Power BI.
  • Ability to organize high volume of data into visual aids.
  • Working knowledge of CRMs like Salesforce, Netsuite and Hubspot is considered an asset.
  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
